Just a weird AI issue. So for headings (not body text) the AI is not putting anything in the correct case. The AI is trying to make sentences, not impactful headings. Body looks to be fine, but headings are a big no-no.
By “correct case” do you mean Title Case? Typically, headings do not require the use of Title Case. For most things, sentence case is adequate and has the added benefit of improved legibility. In the example you provided, sentence case is appropriate because the headings are sentences. While there’s no set rule for using one or the other, title case is ideal for formal writing and sentence case is ideal for a more conversational, casual tone.
Hi Cesar so for headings we don't want Your name here, it should be Your Name Here. For tone maybe but for marketing, we don't want it like that we want it more like "Your Name Here" with each main letter capitaalzed
That’s something you may have to do manually if Relume is not giving you the results that you wish. Relume may be defaulting to sentence case, which may be because it’s a more popular format for writing headings that are not titles of books, articles, etc.
Its strange it used to. Even after they went to Claude, it was doing that and then just recently it revered to lower case
Yes, for me I always had to change the headings from Title Case to Sentence case so I welcome the change!
Yea for me i'm doing "fix case" on every heading to revert it back. A bit more work
My only advice here is to give Sentence case a try. I’ve been advocating it for years to my colleagues, sometimes with great resistance. It can feel strange at first but as you start to feel the improved legibility, especially with long headings, you may welcome the change. 😃
I'll give it a try but in my business (med spa, medical) where its a bit older in thinking its going to be a hard swap for people on the headings when they see sites that do the title case on every heading
Yes, medical and academia folks can be difficult to persuade!
yeah I flagged this with the team when it first happened in a QA Great call-out as usual Michael - appreciate it! However, I really really REALLY enjoyed this healthy debate about title case versus sentence case. Its definitely a style, and one that you have to get used to.
I guess in my case, I was flagging that it was inconsistent and opting for sentence case because there are some potential quick workarounds to making a sentence case into a title case but it depends on the actual headings too.
Thanks for raising Michael R.! We did make a deliberate change to use sentence case for headings. As Cesar mentioned, it's a better fit for marketing copy compared to book or article titles for example. And it also improves legibility. We might add the option to configure which case treatment you'd like to use in the future.
Curious Michael R., have you noticed a difference in the quality of the generated text?
Arman M. this seems like it connects to what we were speaking about? It switching from Claude content generator to open ai (older)
Marc-Antoine R. the copy is better this way. Anytime I see every word capitalized the quality feels weak and robotic. This new approach is miles better.
