Hi there, I've been using Relume for a while to copy components into Webflow, and until now I hadn’t had any issues. For the past few days, though, every time I paste a component into Webflow, all the classes get duplicated. Class sync is enabled and I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin but it keeps duplicating classes. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Regards
Gerard T. yeah I noticed and reported this happening to me as well and the way that I would workaround it, is to undo, turn off class sync, hit save (cmd+s), refresh, turn class sync on, save, refresh, and then paste. Usually within that session I dont have to do those steps again for every paste. Let me know if this helps. If not, please send along the webflow read-only link as well as what component you are trying to paste.
Could you let me know if this has been resolved please. I’m having the same issue with class sync not working. Have tried all the usual workarounds and they don’t work. It’s making it almost impossible to use Relume.
Daniel N. its been a lengthly investigation so far with Gerard and the team and we have identified a couple of things. One thing that would help the most with our investigation into your use case of class sync not working is having a full screen recording of the process. We may need a couple of other things during that session as well like any console log errors or the HAR file. Make sure your chrome browser is fully updated as well. Class sync is pretty complicated and has a lot of variables to it so its not just a single reason or indicator as to why its not working.
Matt J. Thanks for getting back to me. Chrome is fully up to date. I’ve attached a screen recording, but I don’t know what an HAR file is nor how to retrieve one for you. I have experienced this issue before, but never to this extent. I have regularly had issues with one or two classes in the past, almost always the “button” class. I’ve set a lot of variables in this site, but have built other sites with variables that have been fine.
Are you using variable fonts by chance? Or font variables (two diff things, of course)
okay, I would do some testing around the variable fonts - if I recall, Webflow and Class syncing really hated variable fonts and from what I recall, it wasn't an easy fix (if we could fix it at all). I suppose we could be doing a better job explaining that somewhere.
I disconnected the variable font from variables, deleted the font in Settings, republished, copied and pasted a Relume layout: same result.
shoot okay, let me do some digging, another Lumer had this exact issue and it was something related to fonts.
I mentioned in my first message to check chrome extensions or anything that would be modifying the UI of webflow and was hoping you had dug into that a bit but looking closer at the video I'm spotting some inconsistencies.
