Hello Support Team, I attempted to import the sitemap from https://merdic-bau.de/ , but I received the following error message: "Error importing sitemap. We weren't able to import this website. It may be blocking requests from automated tools." Could you please assist me in resolving this issue? The website may be blocking automated requests, but I would like to know if there are any workarounds or additional steps I should take to successfully import the sitemap. Thank you in advance for your support.
If a website blocks certain aspects, you may encounter this error. Many websites built with WordPress might face this issue. I personally avoid importing a sitemap and instead reconstruct it. If it’s a Webflow or Framer site, it shouldn’t be a problem. However, Wix, WordPress, and other platforms may cause issues. For instance, WordPress sites are not written in the exact language that Relume or Webflow uses. You can always verify this by going to the Sources tab in the DevTools Inspector (Chrome) and checking if it displays “WP-Content” when all the content is WordPress. In such cases, it’s best to reconstruct the site.
Hey Timo and Michael R. 👋 Keegan here from the Relume engineering team. Thanks for flagging this! I had a look and it seems our import tool was using a request type that your site wasn’t accepting. I’ve now added a fallback that should cover those cases, so it ought to work smoothly for you going forward. Please give it a try and let me know if you run into any other issues — happy to help. 🙂
I'm having the same "Error importing sitemap" issue too with my WordPress site. Is WordPress compatible with Relume now?
https://retailtherapyunplugged.com/wp-sitemap.xml . My website had more than 50 pages, but the Relume Importer stayed within that limit and imported the most important 50 pages already. However, my new issue is that I had to import into Relume's Style Guide the colors, typography, and UI Styling from our company's brand bible PDF, but that bible has more info about how we should speak and present ourselves to our customers. How do we put that PDF into an AI application in Relume so that Relume will follow it when generating new copy for Relume wireframes that we will import into a Webflow website? We're looking into Jasper too to generate copy, and they may be able to take brand info from PDF's.
I am having a similar issue: https://tailorlaw.com/sitemap_index.xml How can I fi x this? Hosting is with hosting.com
Sean L. okay yeah, I was able to import just the base URL - you don't need to be specifying the sitemap file because our importer is a crawler and crawls just like google, navigating the site. We have it capped at 50 pages for performance within the wireframes tab - we do want to make this smarter though. As for your style guide PDF - there's no way to feed this into Relume. We're more than just an AI wrapper and we're very intentional and guarded about what AI is actually doing, so its not like other AI tools where more is better. Apologies for the inconvenience here.
