Is Using TinyPNG Before Webflow Compression Necessary?

I always compress my images in Webflow. If I compress them also first with tinypng.com, does it make the files smaller then when I compress in Webflow, or it would be the same? Meaning, is tinypng.com an extra unnecessary step that doesn't make a difference?

Sara M. most likely an unnecessary step. Worth doing a test to see if you see any difference.

You can only compress an image so much. Compressing an image twice ruins quality but won’t affect size much or none. One of them, I don’t know which, is better than the other and you should only use that one. If you’re after load speed you have to experiment with different file formats and settings for your type of image.

I've been doing the tinypng and then in webflow. never ruined the quality. just wondering if it made a difference but I'd do a test next time I need it
