I used Weglot for a sizable client project, and boy, it makes it addictively easy to add a language switcher to your site. It’s all machine-translated by default, of course, but you can override it.

Dan why is Weglot better than using native Locales in Webflow?

I never got very far into looking at Webflow’s native localization. With Weglot, the setup took literally 15 minutes with one script, and I can add (and have added) more languages with like three clicks. I would absolutely love it if Webflow were near that easy, but I never got there. Is it?

I used Webflow on this site and it was very easy: blockstherapy.com I think I added a locale then went through and changed the text. And I had to style the locale switcher.

I'm actually not sure. It's possible it will do all of it for you with one click. For this specific client they translated the English themselves into French, so I did it manually for them.

How does is work with Weglot Lee F.?

Ah. Yeah, it’d be nice to have a human person do it manually, I’m sure the quality is much improved In Weglot, you just add a script, and then in the dashboard you pick which languages you want to be included in the automatically generated language switcher. You can style the language switcher if you want, but yeah, it’s just a couple of clicks.

Weglot has been around since 2016 - so likely just using what was already familiar/known and in the case of Webflow, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion so fast either. Just my two cents, jumping in here. 😄 #Ilovewebflow4real
