Relume's Commitment to Community: Roadmap Updates & More
@channel Hey Lumers, we want to take a moment to talk openly about some of the shifts we’re making at Relume and most importantly how we want you, our community, to be part of that journey. Relume was born out of the Webflow community. We started as a small agency, then built one of the first Webflow component libraries. And in the first few years of our existence we made sure to be in the trenches, as close as possible to the freelancers and agencies that were using our product. That’s why we created this Slack channel. That’s why we let you vote on our component roadmap. It felt like we were building the product with you. And honestly, that’s when Relume felt most alive. Now as we’ve grown and the product has evolved, we’ve realized we’ve drifted from that deep connection we once had with you. And we want to fix it. Because we believe our best work has always come from building with this community 🖤 So moving forward, we’re making the commitment to go back to our roots and be all-in on supporting you do your best work. That’s why we’re excited to announce some new updates: 1. The Relume Community Roadmap The idea here is to have a part of our roadmap that you can contribute to. This is our way of putting you back in the driver’s seat. Here's how it works:
We’ve curated the top 10 most-requested projects based on your feedback
You can vote on the ones you care about most
We promise to ship at least one of the top voted features each month
Every 90 days we’ll reset the votes and features
We’ll keep everything transparent, like what’s in progress and what’s shipped, so you always know where we’re heading.
Think of it like a candy store filled with things you actually want 🍭 Vote on the roadmap 2. Making Relume compatible with Figma Sites We’re here to help web designers build beautiful websites faster and we believe Figma Sites has the potential to be a game changer, particularly for those less technical designers. We’ve already started working behind the scenes to make our Site Builder and Component Library compatible with Figma Sites. We’ll be rolling out updates in phases, starting with making it possible to generate a website in Relume and import it into Figma Sites, which will be available next week. So stay tuned for that. In the next phase, we’ll look at adding interactions to our components and also tablet responsiveness. If you’re excited about the potential of Figma Sites to build simple websites, and would like to see Relume continue to support it, please let us know in the thread 💬 3. Renaming “Component Day” We’re retiring the name “Component Day” - which for those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s our monthly update where we announce new features and components we’ve shipped. Back when we were just a component library, that name made sense. But now that Relume is also a Site Builder, it feels like time for a refresh, something that reflects what we are today. So we’d like you to help us rename it. Drop your ideas in the thread below and we’ll put out a poll in a few days to vote 💬 4. Want to contribute to Relume? If you want to contribute to what we’re building and impact the Relume community, we’d love to chat. We’ve put together a form to help us learn more about you and your ideas. Come help shape the future of web design with us! Share your ideas
