Hey Relume Team, a while ago I had posted about how to use Relume in a project that was not initially setup with cloning the Relume style guide, below was the response. Today I tried out adding Relume to an existing project by cloning the Relume Style Guide into a new project, and copying the page-wrapper from the style guide page and paste it into the primary project.
I tried installing, re-installing the Relume Webflow App, and I keep getting: You need the latest Relume Style Guide to import. (See Attached)
Hey! Caleb, the official recommendation is to rebuild and start fresh with a new project and this decision typically depends on the size and complexity of your website project.
1) For small and basic sites
Rebuilding from scratch is recommended as it avoids hassles with renaming/formatting classes
But remember one thing. If you choose to add Relume to an existing project
you can
1) Clone the Relume Style Guide into a new project
2) Copy the page-wrapper from the style guide page and paste it into your primary project
3) Manually replicate the variables from the cloned project
4) Manually link variables to components when copying them in
If a client Website already exists in Webflow, and they want to re-design it, would it be better to create a new project starting with Relume to import to a cloned Relume Style Guide new Webflow site, or is there a way to add Relume style guide to the existing Webflow site then import the new Relume project? 🤔
Hey Relume, looks like you removed the ChatGPT Relume Custom GPT Prompt Builder?
I am having issues with running through importing my project from relume to the cloned relume style guide site in webflow. I am using the relume app. The issues are it stops importing and shows quick notifications about duplicate classes even though I have the class syncing turned on.
