Hi! Im having trouble with two things finalizing by site in webflow:
I made a blog overview page (to see all posts) that I have successfully connected to my cms. I also made a template blog post page (for each individual blog post) but can't figure out how to connect the template page to make pages for each item in my CMS - is this possible or will I need a workaround? I'm also having difficulty with the step by step on how to add CMS to sliders
I custom created box corners and added them to the effects section of my style guide, how do I now add this effect to my components?
Hannah B. would you mind sharing a webflow sandbox/read-only link? Here's how to send the right link: https://www.relume.io/resources/faqs/how-to-share-your-figma-webflow-projects-for-effective-support
I think ive figured out the templates but am still struggling with sliders and the box corners I added to my style guide
Hannah B. yep that's the one - thank you!
For sliders, you'll need to use a third-party like Finsweet List Slider or Resliders.com - Webflow's native sliders don't allow for CMS items.
For the box corners - I think I have an idea for what you are trying to do and I'm in a meeting right now and I'd love to create a quick loom that could walk you through how I might approach doing this and give you some ideas.
that would be great thank you!!
Hannah B. give this a whirl and let me know! https://www.loom.com/share/b1a5afaf7b3a4cdb9e0b0e1c9f4a100c
Im also having a bit of trouble with this horizontal scroll feature seeming to having one extra white space at the end if you know what might be going on
Hannah B. when the boxes to show like that its 99% of the time that a parent div has overflow hidden set. In some cases that div might need that, in other cases it might not. In the cases where a div needs the overflow hidden, then I would try to wrap that parent div inside of another one so that you can essentially stack your box elements on that parent div, if that makes sense. In my example in the screenshots, I wrapped the image wrapper in a new div with position relative, then placed the box div with the box component inside that and then position absolute the box div.
As for the horizontal scroll - its not clear to me in your screenshots which component we're looking at and when browsing your sandbox link, I wasn't able to find it quickly - my guess is that if its a slider that this is an issue with the native webflow slider. Quite annoying actually, probably about 10 years old too. Your only workaround is to use a slider library like splidejs, swiperjs, or resliders.com which was built by a fellow Lumer community member using our components - this option is likely your quickest fix.
