Understanding Figma Component Imports and Navbar Changes

Figma import components? I'm brand new to Figma, so I want to make sure I understand what happens when wireframes are imported. I imported wireframes to Figma and changed the navbar on the home page. I assumed the change would be reflected on the navbar on all other pages, but it's not. I've seen recent posts about wireframes and component import into Figma. If I understand correctly, what I am experiencing is intentional. Is this correct? If so, do I have to manually change the navbar on each page? Or is there a more efficient way to do this? (Make the navbar a component???)
