Figma Import Error from Relume Builder: How to Fix It
🐞 Import to Figma from Relume Builder Bug/Error: Returns an error that suggest to import into a new Figma design file. How to replicate bug:
- 1.
Import the wireframe and modify the header and footer then set it to Figma global component
- 2.
Import the another Relume Builder Page Wireframe (Same Page or another one with same section components)
- 3.
Returns an error that suggests to import on a new Relume Kit Figma design file
Workaround 1
- 1.
Detach all components make sure no sections are set to global.
- 2.
Run the import again
- 3.
Now it works
Workaround 2
- 1.
Rename the section component into something else.
- 2.
Instead of “Footer / 11 /” Set it to “Footer 11"
- 3.
This is if you want to still use your sections as global components.
Correct me if I’m wrong. Relume importer uses the component naming convention as marker for the import process and by setting it as global in Figma, the importer is having an issue writing the components based out of Relume content. Would love to hear some insights.
