yo - anyone facing issue with contact-form checkbox after last release or is it just me? When I want to send the form without checkbox checked it doesnt show the pop up would appreciate some tips what to check on this one also I noticed in the UI style guide there are 2 chevrons in the contact-form dropdown component and it's bit buggy too - at least in my file not complaining just giving you heads up as I've noticed you had a release couple of days ago thanks crew
it works in webflow, but breaks on live site webflow link: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/prod-eeo?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=design[鈥3c47f93266&pageId=66db82fce25bc132125da6ff&workflow=preview live site: https://prod-eeo.webflow.io/solutions when I change the 'checkbox field setting' in setting to default the pop=up show ups, just cant make the check mark visible, as the box stays blank all the time
Matt J. when you fill all the form fields and leave the checkbox 'unchecked' the pop up doesn't show up. I've tried to copy the new file relume style guide to webflow multiple times and it didnt work on any of the contact form components from the library. I've copied an old page build on style guilde from January and it works fine. I havent added any custom code to the page which could cause conflicts with other JS functions. if you can check the link above please. In webflow toogle preview it's poping up, on the published site it isnt.
by pop-up I mean to kind of pop-up you can't style with the orange !
ah okay, the tooltip got it. Yeah that is likely an issue with Webflow since Webflow is the one that handles all of the form validation. Unfortunately its likely a bug thats been around for years...your only workaround to it would be to use ChatGPT to generate some custom Javascript that checks if that box is checked or not and if it isn't to show a custom message...quite unfortunate actually. As for the double chevron - we use custom CSS to hide the default one - on the published version of the site you shouldn't see two chevron icons - but if you do please snap a screenshot of it or of any other bugs you might be seeing or share another read-only link if its a different project like you have above. Thanks for sharing!
ok no worries. I wasn't sure if it's you guys who handles the JS related to components or is Webflow. yeah I'll most likely end up writing my own BE for the contact form as it's the part of the webflow that webflow needs to improve in my opinion. thanks for that. I'll let you know once I'll sort it out maybe it'll be something you may want to use in your style guide. thanks Matt!
