Hi! I am trying to incorporate Relume into an older project. I have copied a stule guide and all the classes seemed to sync nicely! My problem is with the variables. Some of the components are referencing variables that don´t exist in this project and webflow won´t allow me to change the variable without resetting the variable. Bet as I said, the variable don´t exist in this project so I can´t reset it. Does anyone have any tips or workarounds? A step by step guide to incorporating Relume in an older project would also be appreciated! Thanks!
Eirik E. Unfortunately there is no way to sync variables from one project to another - this is a webflow limitation. So with that in mind, there's no way for you to use the Relume webflow app to bulk import your generated screens into an existing project like this. However, you could still generate screens and copy/paste them into a project like yours, you just need to change your preferences within Relume. To change preferences, we have a guide on how to do this here: https://www.relume.io/resources/docs/updating-existing-projects Please note the "Change your component library preferences". Specifically you'll want to set all of your preferences to Relume Style Guide - CF v2.1 - this is the version of components which don't use variables by default, so then you can assign variables manually to these components. If you want to send along a Webflow read-only link, I'm also happy to provide direction on a migration as I know that even the thought of doing that can be overwhelming but depending on your goals, might be a better path forward too. Hope that helps!
Thanks! Relume Style Guide - CF v2.1 is the current version and the version I used when I tried. Do you mean I should try one of the older versions?
ah apologies - I need to update our docs - you'll want to toggle the Relume Style Guide V1.5 - CF v2 preference.
Changing the style guide version did not seem to make a difference , but i found the solution and it was embarrassingly obvious. Alt + clicking the title of the style with a variable error resets the style. Should have been the first thing I tried🤦♂️ So I´m all good now. Thanks!
