Good Morning! Okay, I've been working on a wireframe with my preferences set to an earlier version. 2.1 or so. Now, I'd like to take advantage of developing that wireframe in the newest version. I just tried that, and the system locked up for a a few minutes. Please out line for me, step by step the best way convert my old or mixed version to the newest version, keeping my content and style guide choices. TIA
Ensure you have a paid Webflow Workspace plan.
Clone and start a new webflow project using our webflow style guide
Open up our Webflow App (Hit E on your keyboard, search for Relume, launch it, login, find the project).
Go to wireframes
Select the page
import
In this case, you'd be using our standard flow which is documented in several docs on our Resources site but here is one of them: https://www.relume.io/resources/docs/using-the-relume-site-builder-import-webflow-app Hope that helps!
I'm not done with the wireframe in Relume yet. This is where I seemed to be having the issue. Some of the wireframe was done in an earlier version, then I went and changed my preferences to 3.0. On trying to return to the wireframe it locked up/showed an error on load. It took several tries and a closing of the tab before it loaded back up again. Is there a way to confirm what version this wireframe is now? Can I check or do I need to check section by section? Are all the sections now automatically updated to v3.0? Do I need to create a new wireframe in the latest version then copy and paste content over to it? I've not even gotten to pushing it to Webflow yet. TIA.
your preferences don't have any effect at all within the Relume Site Builder, only on what is exported. So changing it back to v3.0 changed nothing within the site builder. If you are able to capture a screenshot of what the error was when you had issues, I might be able to point you to a workaround.
I guess one thing to consider with this also, is when did you start this Relume project? Days, weeks, or months ago?
Months and it's been ongoing. I can get into it now and I'm looking at the color schemes on some sections. So, are you saying that the whole wireframe is now V3.0?
yeah
Whew! Thanks man.
no problem
Wile I got you, I have one more question. I'll make you a short Loom.
sounds good
Joseph B. unfortunately filters and other application UI are not available within the site builder because they require multiple layers - in the case of filters, it requires nesting content within a certain container. So its just outside the scope of what we've built for the site builder at the moment. This could change but its not on the immediate future roadmap for sure. Apologies for the confusion there. Your best bet for this would be to add a placeholder for now within Relume, and then when you go to import into Figma or Webflow, you'll be able to add that component in as expected.
Okie dokie. GTK.
yeah for sure
