Sandra R. unfortunately not - the opposite of luck - we can see that the comments were there, and what the comments are, but we've lost the data that attaches them to elements. We're working on a way to prevent this from happening again so that we can at least retain the data. We're also going to be changing up the UX to improve what happens when you try to delete an element or regenerate a page that has comments on it with a confirmation. I know in this case, you mentioned that you did not do any edits - so the first fix should at least give us more data to better understand what is happening - right now its not 100% clear to us why the comments are disappearing on the frontend. Incredibly unfortunate and I'm very sorry for the inconvenience this will surely cost you.
