This is one of the bigger issues I keep seeing with the style guide import. It's not doing the fonts correctly. What I normally have to do is go back in the fonts section in Webflow and re-add them in manually and then setup them again as variables. Kind of an annoyance.
Michael R. we鈥檙e importing a custom code embed that lives under the global styles component that links to the fonts imported. We are not able to import the fonts in the fonts page of site settings due to API limitations. We鈥檝e recently (in the last couple of hours) fixed an issue with imports failing due to fonts. So with all that info, can you shed a bit more light on whats not being done correctly?
Essentially, the selected fonts from the Style Guide aren't being applied during import; instead, they default to System UI. I've encountered this issue only a couple of times, but it does happen occasionally. The most frustrating experience was when I updated the wireframe fonts and attempted to re-import them; it reset everything to square one and deleted all the text I had added. Typically, I input the text in Webflow rather than Relume, but perhaps I should consider switching that process around.
Michael R. you mind sharing a read-only so I can take a peek? Thanks in advance for your help on this Michael - really appreciate you.
Hey Matt J. I'll share that link but here is another issue related to the same problems. I did a Loom for you instead: https://www.loom.com/share/99770903238342f79de7e0a722e01c6e?sid=57ad7612-0ef6-4889-8a1b-59d571cee3e0
Michael R. it looked like you had a combo class on there though - can you share the read-only link so I can get your exact scenario and then I can recreate and do further testing on it?
Hi Matt J. so the video I sent you above was just from a Relume Webflow Clone (the one part of the Relume Export) and just importing it via Webflow's Relume App. No other changes were made. Another issue kind of same thing, I had my fonts on a site today, then went away came back and the fonts reset. Again haven't even touched it yet other than the import
ok, I still can't reproduce it so I'll need the read-only in order to know
I just cloned the style guide, I created a wireframe in site builder, I made sure it had navbar 2 component, I copied the whole page, pasted it into webflow, and I'm able to change everything I want without issue
including all pieces of the navbar button
Hmm maybe its Chrome? Here is a read only link to one: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/healthy-glow-wellness?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_[鈥s&preview=49bae41639e5e9ff646689ef372661ab&workflow=preview
yeah straight away in that read-only I'm able to do all the things that you said you weren't able to do in your video
I wonder if Chrome is changing things in their backend that is causing these issues. I know they update the app 2-3 times a week now
