Hi! I'm new to setting up an ecommerce store in Webflow, and I'm exploring the Ecommerce templates Relume has. Do you guys have tutorial to show how to set it up? So I've enabled Ecommerce function on my site. Now I get the Products Template, Categories Template, Checkout and Order Confirmation page. How can I fit Relume's ecommerce components in? What I'm trying to achieve now is fairly simple. I'm just going to put a gallery on our main page to show case 5 - 6 items, then clicking on that will lead them to a checkout page.
Hazel L. So happy that you jumped in here as your first go-to place when diving into something, and there's definitely nothing wrong with that. But its also not entirely possible to give you a full crash course on a feature like this efficiently here so my suggestion would be to first check out the Webflow University course on Ecommerce, and then attempt to bring those components into those templates and hook them up - and after you've gotten this far, if you hit any kind of roadblock at all - jump in here right away - don't spin your wheels for hours trying to figure it out - I'm more than happy to help - I just want your learning to be comprehensive. https://university.webflow.com/courses/webflow-ecommerce
Hey Matt J. I understand! In fact I already set up the store, added some products and pulled in the collection list... but I'm stuck at proceeding from here. Like I know I've to sort of connect the component with the collection so it dynamically populated the product images etc, but I don't know how to go from here. Is it something I can get help here or should I look somewhere? I love the components you guys design and I want to use it to replace the default Webflow design. I will find tutorials myself of course, but it would be more direct to ask since I plan to use Relume
Hazel L. yeah naw, you are in the right place to get help with this sort of thing, its just that what you are asking is definitely covered in some of the courses I linked to. For anything related to Webflow, be sure to send along a read-only so that I can jump right into the context of your problem right away. Once I have the read-only, I can get you pointed down the right path here.
Actually, I think I've figured it out. This is the tutorial I was looking for - https://youtu.be/6Qw06niEs0I?feature=shared The Webflow tutorials didn't really cover how to connect to the CMS while using a template. It shows how to add a Collection List and edit from there, I guess that's why I was stuck. I'm just too noob, but this video explains what I was looking for.
How can I pull the Variants in though? I can only pull text, colour and so on... I did add in Variants (Color) for this product. https://preview.webflow.com/preview/vittori-design?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=[鈥&itemId=68b021c83f882e957c57b93f&locale=en&workflow=preview
Hazel L. Does your product have any variants? i look at your product collection list i didn't notice anything, anyway if you have anything in mind to add in dropdown it can be a little tricky, you need to use custom JS code to pull from product collection list cand catch the selection element with either a unique ID or custom attribute (recommended), and via js assign those option to under this selection
For this particular product, yes. I added the variants. So I am wondering how to pull in these variants data in
not sure which one you want to assign as a variants, is this field, if you can share more details i can get you the instruction about how you can pull data
Hazel L. ah yes okay Hazel - that makes total sense - the disconnect between what Webflow expects to happen versus bringing in Relume components is definitely different - apologies for not picking up what you were putting down. So yeah, for the product template that you are editing right now, you'll want to go to the Add Elements panel (keyboard shortcut A) and add the element "Add to cart" - and then you'll transfer over your component classes to the elements that show up there. Its not possible for us to already have included this element into the component, otherwise we would not have created this confusing bit. I've recorded this loom in hopes that you are unblocked. https://www.loom.com/share/d427e56b04e24766bca9b21f69069bd2?sid=d0779d06-f2f8-4fc1-bdab-3bcdd112181f
Thank you Matt J.! What I'm trying to do is for this particular text here I want to pull text from Categories instead of Products. I think it's something to do with multi-reference, and I think Webflow has already added a field in Product by default under Basic Info. However, I can't seem to "load" the Categories item from the "Product" dropdown list. I tried to add another Collection List but I'm not able to drag it inside the product1_title-wrapper. https://preview.webflow.com/preview/vittori-design?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=[鈥&pageId=68b13c0af649299c38821215&locale=en&workflow=preview
Actually, I figured it out! I think I was on the right track, it was just a matter of resorting the items 馃檪
