Hey all, I'm trying to use the new Color Scheme setup in Webflow Variables with the latest Relume Style Guide but it isn't working for me as I would expect. Here's a Loom showing the issue: https://www.loom.com/share/675a22f3cede4299af54d29babbed640?sid=16cc358c-cdc7-452b-9da7-4d38d9464f2b Any help would be very much appreciated! Matt J.
Matt J. I found someone else in Slack reporting on a similar thing here: https://relumecommunity.slack.com/archives/C02MS2V0FSP/p1742722622487859 I think from what I'm understanding those color schemes are meant to be created in Relume's Site Builder (in the Style Guide area)...is that correct? In my case I am just developing a mini website based on designs already created in Illustrator. Since I hadn't seen the new Variables look (with Color Schemes), I thought I would need to create my own Color Schemes manually by entering "Color Scheme 2/Text" for example. But that doesn't work. Is there a way to create Color Schemes manually in Webflow without using Relume so sections can inherit colors like this? Or, should I only use Color Schemes if they're imported by Relume? Thanks!
Logan we do have this quick loom as well: https://www.loom.com/share/36c4d72d91264453af1beae10bd49a42?sid=4f9690c6-dcdb-477b-81b8-b5d43d7df7db
Matt J. I actually had already setup mine just like it shows in the video you just shared, but it isn't working properly / the same for me in my preview. Here's a Loom I made highlighting the issue: https://www.loom.com/share/b4b04900024846e9a6434c3ee8934144?sid=54afedca-fa16-41ba-bb3b-651593d13464 Any idea why I can't see it normally?
We saw your comment here: This isn't working for me in the same way. I set it up just like he explains here, but it won't show up on the canvas unless I click to preview and then click to enable custom code. Here's a Loom I made showing the issue: https://www.loom.com/share/b4b04900024846e9a6434c3ee8934144 Matt J. Kaleb J. - do you guys have any solution here? We haven't done anything in our project yet except copying the Relume Starter Project, change the colours and then tried to enable a second colour scheme. (Sorry taggin you as it seems you engaged in the problem before via Relume or here in Slack)
Found a solution: Remove from the Global styles the meta tag. Was recommended by Google AI - first time it has been useful 馃槃
Moritz yeah apologies for the issues here - I wonder if the reference link to the solution for Google AI was a previous thread where it was discovered that this meta tag was there and potentially a problem. I dont believe I received any kind of confirmation of that though in that thread but this is evidence enough for sure and will report this to the team. Thanks for following up with a solution.
