How can I use a predefined sitemap for a new project and import it into Projects so I can generate pages by importing from an external source, rather than relying on a sitemap.xml url? Since the website is brand new, it doesn’t have an XML yet. The goal is to generate the pages once the site has over 45 static pages and folders, and avoid manually creating all of them in Webflow to save time.
Marcelo F. unfortunately in today's Relume there's no way to do that. If the website has any kind of URL, you can still use our sitemap import tool because we don't reference the sitemap.xml file when you import a URL. We've built our own crawler that literally navigates the website.
I noticed something was off. I had replaced the blank canvas in Webflow under Settings from dynamically generate the XML, to instead I used a static XML sitemap I built. Even though the sitemap was accessible in the browser at domainname.com/sitemap.xml, the Relume importer only pulled the homepage. :0( You see what I’m saying? The Webflow site had a “real” XML, but at the same time it was kind of fake 😅. It’s all good—I’ll figure something else out.”
