Anyone have any tips/tools for showing clients how to add content to collection lists? I have to make a document with instructions and I'm wondering how others approach this
While we're here, how are you collecting CMS data from clients? I just used an excel sheet but it is hard to edit information in and to add formatting such as bullet points, plus preserving that formatting when importing to Webflow is tricky.
Emily M. I鈥檝e done custom Loom videos in the past. Usually only takes 2-3 minutes tops, to show them around and they can rewatch it over and over. As for collecting CMS data. I鈥檝e used Airtable in the past when Nobull was free to use with a free airtable account. If I were to do it today, I would likely just opt to use Notion and Whalesync, since I鈥檓 already paying for both of those tools and the additional cost of Whalesync is way way worth the speed at which a client can take care of all of the data entry without my help and when ready, I can just sync it and be done. I鈥檓 also using Whalesync for other on-going projects so thats being factored in. If you do webflow to webflow migrations, that鈥檚 another use case for Whalesync.
Never heard of Whalesync - I'll check it out. Thanks for the rec!
looks like whaesync changed their pricing, it used to be SO expensive. Emily M. Anything that can connect and work with Airtable would be a good option for you i think, check out https://finsweet.com/cms-bridge
yeah, Whalesync pricing has simplified and been made more reasonable recently. Hopefully CMS Bridge continues to improve but the experience I had with Whalesync versus CMS Bridge has been night and day. I ran into so many roadblocks and bugs with CMS Bridge. The experience overall with Whalesync just continues to amaze me. They continue to add features that make the experience better and better as well.
oh great! i tried whalesync for shopify <> airtable sync like 1.5 years ago 鈥hey wanted custom plan and $500/month 鈥adn鈥檛 checked their website since! going to try them again for airtable <> webflow! Thanks Matt!
