Hello, trying to figure out a good pipeline for my business. I'm just wondering what the best way to bring a Relume made website into somewhere I can self host to avoid individual hosting costs from the likes of Webflow. I've heard figma.to.website or Webflow export with Udesly could be viable options but what's your guys' take on a good solution?
What types of sites are you planning to build? You could deploy onto a place like Vercel which has a pretty generous free tier if you export the react code or you could go with a standard web hosting site (we used siteground before moving over to vercel). If you’re wanting to build a business though the cost of whatever hosting you use should be past onto the client so I’m wondering why a webflow process is worrisome to you.
You can export react and html from relume so you wouldn’t need to do any super crazy workflow
Hey Catherine, thanks for insight. Why do you say hosting cost needs to be passed forward? The websites I want to build will be fairly simple for small businesses, my thought process was that it will work out cheaper if I can host multiple websites on one server such as siteground and have the clients pay me for the upkeep.
I wasn't aware you can just grab the code. Can Relume do fully functioning websites or does it need to be tweaked somewhere before release?
What reason do you feel offering free hosting would be beneficial to your business? For me -!; mine, it’s not ever been but the audience your targeting may be different As to the Code I’ve never downloaded it directly and use webflow but I would say with anything that’s building something for you that you should know enough about how to fix it if something isn’t to your liking or something breaks unexpectedly. I often am tweaking stuff inside webflow and would assume the export would be the same
