Hey everyone! I'm new to Relume and the community, currently testing it out and getting a feel for how it fits into my workflow. Quick question. Does anyone here use Relume primarily for local business websites? I work mostly with local service based businesses and I'm trying to gauge how viable Relume is for that use case. So far it feels like it may lean a bit more toward SaaS or national brands, but I'd love to hear real world experiences. Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Brandon B. I have a lot of experience with this scenario - working with mom and pop small businesses here in the midwest and Relume was a huge part of our workflow. As you know, we're not generally talking about big budgets and Relume really helps close up the gap and speed up these projects in a big way. This is mostly speaking from the Relume > Figma > Webflow workflow though. But even having ready made layouts for you to quickly customize, massive upgrade. Biggest thing you'll have to watch out for, which is likely a lift you are already doing anyway, is the content. Locals want genuine content that speaks to them, not over them or through them. You'll likely just want to use whatever copy is generated as placeholder and still have a copywriter massage real-world copy or use Claude that you've trained really well to sound "small town" if that makes sense.
Thanks for replying and sharing your experience. Good to hear that somebody else is using Relume in a similar way as I have planned. I won't be using the Relume > Figma > Webflow workflow, however. I develop in WordPress and would be using more of a Relume > Figma > Manual WordPress Development workflow, but as you said, even having the ready made layouts to quickly customize is a massive upgrade. I totally hear you about content and appreciate you bringing that up. I definitely don't plan on relying on the Relume AI-generated content for production and would instead use it just as filler/placeholder content. I have a very rigorous process for copywriting that ties into predetermined on-page SEO strategies. Just curious, for your local business site builds, do you usually have a strong SEO focus with service area pages, for example? I'm curious if anybody has used Relume to build service area page templates to support a more complex local SEO strategy.
