Hey Folks! Relume newbie here.. I'm trying to recreate a dropdown menu such as the one you see in the screenshot. I used mark down prompting with creating the sitemap since I wanted a specific hierarchy and I must say it worked and turned out well. The only thing that is a bit confusing for me now, is that I now have pages where there shouldn't be any. As one can see in the screenshot or directly on the website - idemia.com - the top navbar just opens a drop-down menu, but not another page when one tries to click, with the exception of "Careers" The sitemap I have now seems to open a subpage from every top navbar from where then the other pages can be accessed. I now wonder what happens if I delete that page how this would affect the sitemap, rather if it would affect the sitemap/wireframe correctly. Again, I simply want to recreate the navigation system of the above-mentioned site and would really appreciate your advice/help with this guys. Many thanks in advance!
Joseph B. apologies for missing this - so is the struggle that you are having within the Relume Site Builder? Its likely that we just dont have the editing capabilities within the site builder to make this happen. You'd have to import to figma or webflow and make those kinds of edits. As for sitemap <> wireframe connections - they are indeed connected - so any edits you make to pages (deleting, etc) will also delete those wireframes. If you share your Relume project URL, I can probably get a better idea of what it is you are trying to do (or can't do) and we can go from there but overall sounds like you are trying to make edits that just aren't possible within the site builder and you'll have to move to figma or webflow.
No worries, Matt. Re: Sitemaps/Wireframes That I have figured out by now, but thanks for making it clear again. What I discussed in this context with Adam, I believe it was, is that changes translate also in the other direction, meaning from wireframes to sitemaps. Something to eventually consider, but not massively important. Re: Navigation What I want to recreate is what can be seen in the screenshot provided. If you go to the Idemia website I presume you'd understand perfectly what I mean. What I did, though, believing it's correct for what I want, is create page groups, but it's not what I need. I want visitors to access private and public services separately. Here the link to my project - https://www.relume.io/app/project/P2604506_wc4MVbu4G6SQTG9rwwBB2_qRp8Jd2M6fItxYhPfaSJk And please have a look at idemia.com to understand the navigation I want to essentially copy.
Two screen recorder vids that may help to better understand. https://www.loom.com/share/3d1a640765284daebd16302f8fe9c15d https://www.loom.com/share/d2c3c84365bf4be6afcc01cccb5901bb
Joseph B. got it - let me drop this down here and let me know what you think! Make sure to watch the loom fully though. In the loom, I'm describing two different potentially approaches to making this happen but let me know if I've missed the mark on this. https://www.loom.com/share/c7bfc70d035a4f60b3d1b967451b8236 https://www.relume.io/app/project/P2663429_Eq6zEOzGkWD9mIPOwv-FiYGqAEn3RIJvS7Nc-9QauSY#mode=sitemap
Matt J. Thanks for guiding me through this and sharing knowledge. I was actually on the right path but your example made clear that I would have to section or group pages better - https://www.loom.com/share/2b2642abb44e4320a4189d0ec653441e My final question with this I guess would be if when following your example so to speak that the navigation would now show as in the idemia website with the top navbar not being clickable, a dropdown menu opening with the pages contained in that page group, correct? Cheers!
One more thing though, probably a no-brainer but still.. All the sections I choose in sitemaps rather wireframes are of course changeable in Webflow so I'm not stuck with what I chose there, I can always go with another section layout, add, edit, etc. in Webflow, right? Thanks in advance!
