hi I currently still use WordPress with Bricks. How do you handle this with Webflow for client projects? Does the client need to have their own Webflow account and you transfer the project, or do you charge them a (higher?) flat fee for operation after go-live?
andi p. few different approaches here - some flexibility to run your business how you want. Scenario 1 You have a paid webflow workspace that allows you to have unlimited projects, and you build and house client projects in this account. The main benefit is quick easy access. Client still has access to pay the bill directly and to edit the site. They won't be able to transfer the site or delete it - things like that. Scenario 2 Once you've completed building the website in Webflow, you can create your client their own webflow workspace (free), transfer the project, and then hand over that workspace via passing of credentials. As long as you have a paid webflow workspace, your client can then invite you (or you invite yourself before hand-off) as a free agency/freelancer seat, which will give you editing capabilities of the project. As for billing, this is up to you. I personally did not add anything additional to the hosting - but many devs do which I think is a perfectly acceptable business practice. You can add your client to the billing of the hosting, so that they pay the bill directly - no invoices or any of that. Hope that helped - I'm sure there are some details that you care about that I've left out, and I did that intentionally so that I was not inaccurate with my information. The information I've provided is the exact scenarios that I have personally conducted many times over and over with no issues. I would encourage you to sign up for an account and dig around, you'll be able to get a better sense of some of the other nuanced settings that Webflow has. If you have any other areas of Webflow that is unclear - I am more than happy to help bring clarity to them as best I can!
