Let me try that and I will report back.
class sync is already complicated enough, but I really need you to follow all of the troubleshooting steps as close as possible and double check that is the case - otherwise we'll just continue to be in this cycle and not get anywhere with it. And I certainly dont want to use up precious and valuable engineering resources chasing these things before they are confirmed/validated and reproducible.
For what its worth - I just opened up 3 separate, older projects ranging from 2023 and 2024 - v1.3, v1.5 and v2 Relume style guides and I was able to paste components into those projects with no issues.

its like an infection, once there is a duplicate class, Webflow will just continue to do so
Damn. Okay, fair.
That is not apparent from the doc, but thanks atleast I know what I need to do, besides pulling my hair.
