Hi community. Couple of questions for the experts. Thank you in advance for the help: + Do you know a fast way to remove all the unused text styles from the Relume Style Guide page that's inside the Figma file so I can remove them? (I tried a couple of plugins without success. The styles are either "not found" in the file, or the plugin just selects 1 place it's been used and not all. + If I remove all the buttons that I'm not using from the style guide page inside Fimga (for example, all the alternate or dark theme buttons), am I still able to create all the variants right? (because they would still be embedded in the button component)
Ana T. hmm most of those edits would likely break the figma kit and prevent the Relume figma plugin from working properly. Why are you trying to remove "unused text styles" from the file? The "unused buttons" that you see on the style guide, are the variants - so if you were to delete them, then no, you would not have any variants in the button component dropdown. Best to leave most of the style guide stuff alone otherwise you will break the Relume figma plugin's ability to import anything. The reason the plugin you tried to use only cleaned up one text style is because its likely that all of the text styles are being used at least on the style guide page. I see very little upside to deleting these as projects can sometimes change later in the process and you may want those text styles later, and adding them back are not possible in the same way.
Hi Matt J. thank you for the thorough answer. Usually, I would leave all the components in the style guide intact. That's exactly what I've done in the past. However, my boss wants to feed this into AI and asked me to delete anything that's not used in the design. Anyway, it's too late now for the buttons, but I did leave all the text, thanks for that tip. 馃槄. And thanks for the quick reply. Really appreciate it.
