Hey guys, any thoughts on why this is happening?

Rory H. based on some of your other comments, I understand you may be new to Figma. So no worries. But yeah, we had to make a decision of what aspect ratio the component in the kit should be and we recently released these new image ratio settings and so the two are not connected in that way which is definitely more on us than you. But you can change the ratio pretty quickly in Figma. Let me know if you need more direction to do so!

Hey Matt J., sorry to bother you. One imported into Figma, do I need to change each image ratio individually or is there a variable / are they linked somewhere? Also, do I need to change them in the wireframe and the design? Or just in the design?

Rory H. it kind of depends on your process with your clients. For me personally, I would try to use placeholders in wireframes and actual photos in designs. So then I would only need to change the image ratio in the designs. As for them being linked in someway within Figma, no, you would need to change them individually. If it were me personally, I would turn that product card into a local figma component, and then swap in the text, so that any future changes to the card can be done in one spot. Little bit of copy/pasting to do for sure but makes for a cleaner more consistent design process.
