Question about modifying Relume Figma Kit variables and naming conventions to suit personal design system needs

Hello, I have a question about Relume Figma Kit and variables in Relume Figma Kit. So my workflow looked like this: wireframe in Relume, then importing wireframe to Figma using "Relume Figma Kit" and moving wireframe to other Figma file with my own design system attaching my own variables for headings, spacing, choosing different colours and everything. It is the library that I have created before Relume and contains my whole design system. Now I am using more of design/style guide feature within Relume and it helps me start project faster but it is still limited so I want to mess around with project afterwards. But I have problem with naming and variables values default for Relume Figma Kit So I wondered if adopting "Relume Figma Kit" to my needs like: changing basic spacing for sections that Relume offers or changing the names in Variables to suit what I was used to (Not adding new just Renaming them in my naming convention. The question i want to ask is how Can I Modify Relume Figma Kit to not mess um imports and how mych can i modify it to suit my needs. Thanks a lot for help and comments.

Maciek S. I've actually spent a lot of time doing this and I'd say that you'd have more flexibility than you'd think but there are definitely some things you can't touch. Most of my changes were around the colors though and how they displayed in the style guide. unfortunately you can't really rename any of the variables that already exist in the system. You could however, add your own set of variables somewhere and they would not be overwritten. Its unlikely that we'll be releasing any updates to the figma kit for a bit, so making your own version of the kit to start your projects is something that I've been doing from the beginning. What kind of changes were you hoping to make and I can try to guide? The way that I was able to find the lines, is by making small changes and then trying to import a style guide, and seeing what errors would show up.

I suppose it could be possible to also do the same process you were doing before with variables as well - just have all of your design system variables in place, and then just quickly re-assign them. Or depending on what the changes are, I'm wondering if you could spin up your own figma plugin that does the re-assigning for you - could probably generate it with AI...🤷‍♂️
