Relume... I am trying to work on a large project and the Wireframes keep crashing 😞 The system is running very slowly and its very glitchy. Can you guys please check out the system and see if there's any bugs that need to get fixed??
Crystal S. sorry to hear of the frustrations here. I’ve looked at a few things and everything is operational on our end. Can you let me know a few things:
how many pages?
Are you using the latest chrome? Sometimes an update here is necessary.
Can you share here or DM the Relume project URL?
Once I have a bit more info, I can help pin point a direction for us.
Matt J. missed this notification. The page count is 25. I am using the latest Chrome. I will DM you the re loom project It has been happening at least once or twice a day while I'm working in there.
Crystal S. and its still the case today/very recently or?
if so, when you say crashing, it throws up the alert box right?
Yesterday it crashed twice on me... also after crash some components go back to default states or at least partial restoration. Like if I delete links they will reappear after the forced refresh... not fun. And the system is running uber slow... its not my machine either im running 64gbs of RAM and the lag is only in Relume.
No alert box... it just dies and forces a refresh
understood, thank you for providing that context. Experiencing a bit of that myself - will dig and create a report for engineering but the honest truth here is that this is one of the reasons we've built a new platform. I don't know how big of a lift it will be to fix, where the priority of this sits, etc. The best I can do is provide as much detail and evidence as I can, and I think if I can provide a strong enough case, we'll allocate resources appropriately and go from there. No matter how I slice this though, this won't be fixed in a day or two. Just trying to set transparent expectations. I know how frustrating any kind of lag can be - it drives me absolutely insane - which is why I invest heavily in my hardware - sounds like you've done the same. The crashing is a different level of frustration and I definitely think we can make an easy case to have that looked at. I'll do my best here and let you know Crystal - appreciate any patience and grace you can muster up for me. 🙌
Crystal S. when Webflow was having this issue in the past, I started using Brave browser and it seemed to have made things faster. I think some of it had to do with the lack of extensions I had installed in Brave, but also Brave may just be a lighter version of chrome. I just opened up a Relume project where I was experiencing sluggish performance, and things seem much quicker in there. Do you want to do a quick test with Brave? At the very least, using it as your dedicated browser for Relume may not be the worst workaround for now? Not sure if it prevents the crashes though, I actually have not yet experienced those issues yet. If you have time at some point to record that - if you have a way of reproducing it reliably, that would be really nice but I understand you have a lot of other things to do so I can try on my end as well.
Okay, I may decide to download the new browser... sounds kind of like a pita. I appreciate the response. Not quite the response I was hoping for.
I understand - just give me a day or two to make this report and we'll go from there.
Crystal S. PITA no doubt but I just moved a bunch of pages into its own sitemap, at the top level (same level as the homepage) and only left like 5-6 pages in my working sitemap, and the wireframes are much much faster - especially in Brave. This could be a relief of the awful experience if you want to go through with it. Another tip if you wanted to remember what order things went in you could quickly export your sitemap into Figma first, then split things up. But for me, at least I was able to get things to not be so sluggish and actually get some work done, so I just wanted to pass this tip along to you as well. This will definitely give me some strong evidence that we might need to take a look at this though for sure. Still haven't experienced the crashing though.
