Relume’s real edge is getting from components to a live site
Relume's real edge isn't just the components. It's how close you are to a live site. I tested that step on my first website and want to show you where it breaks and where it could go. What happened in two weeks: The Relume MCP alone gave poor results without a style guide. Building the sitemap, tailoring components, and adding the style guide and assets in Relume made the difference. The Design md export was mostly solid, but some react components were broken or missing, so I copied each one back and asked the AI to rebuild the section. A Webflow expert quoted several thousand dollars and nearly a month. Instead, I gave my agent the design MD and the published links. For a $30 AI subscription plus my $58 Relume Pro plan, it shipped the site, fixed the mobile views of the components, and added Stripe checkout, Cloudflare, and email contact and subscription forms. I can export everything to GitHub or download the code. The expensive part of shipping wasn't design. It was turning components into a working site. That's the gap Relume is well positioned to close. The opportunity: Let Relume users connect their own AI API key, Stripe, GitHub, and Cloudflare inside Build and Publish. Components become real, shippable sites without a developer. Would Releme be open to me interning or exploring how this could be built? I'd start with a small, scoped prototype so we can test whether it works. Matt J. Dan
