From Designer to Developer: My Journey Creating a Landing Page

Hi everyone. I’ve been a designer for yeeeeears, now a senior designer and digital brand strategist working for a London agency… but… I've never actually developed a website despite designing a ton of them. So Relume and Webflow set me free to do up this little landing page for my wife's floral design busness: https://www.floralessence.co.uk/ Figma design, copywriting, photography, photo post-production AND NOW DEVELOPMENT all by me! Thought I'd return the favour of sharing feedback 😊 Basically really lovely work, imho. If there's one thing I would add, it would be animations. It feels very static. I think some animations would help it feel more alive. I don't think they need to be fancy. I say this as I review my own recent landing page and feel the same way about it!

Thanks Jack G. - yes I love an animation for sure. I'm yet to go into that in Webflow yet but it's defs a no. 1 on my to-do list for the next upgrade 👍

It's a really good website, Neil! Just a tiny suggestion, you could replace a few of the images with more high resolution images of flowers. It would be more attractive. Everything else seems great and neatly organised.

Thanks Dakshi P. ! There’s a long story behind those images! All of them up until the pricing section are my wife’s work, some go back to 2004 and are scans from a magazine! We had a ton of photos on a laptop the blew up and we lost them all! Some of those on the site I’ve found as thumbnails that I had to up-res and do a lot of Ai Photoshopping on! So yeah will get more hi res images the more work she does for sure 👍

I understand Neil S. ! Once you slowly start adding high-res images, it would take the visual aesthetics to next level!
