The reason you can only clone the Relume style guide to a Starter (free) Webflow site and not directly to a paid CMS site is due to Webflow鈥檚 cloning restrictions. Webflow only allows cloning templates or style guides into new or Starter sites to prevent overwriting existing paid projects.
To work around this, you can:
- 1.
Clone the Relume style guide into a new Starter site first.
- 2.
Then, manually export the style guide鈥檚 assets (styles, classes, symbols) or recreate key components inside your paid CMS project by copying over the design and styles.
Unfortunately, Webflow does not currently support direct cloning into existing paid sites due to how their platform manages project templates.
