Troubleshooting Sitemap Import Errors on Multiple Websites

Hi, almost everytime (worked 1 time so far at 10 different websites I tried) I want to import a sitemap it ends in “Error importing sitemap”. What is the issue here?

Maybe it would help, if there is an option “only import main pages” or “up to x pages”?

Christian S. can you provide 2 or 3 of the URLs you were trying to import?

Yes I have had the same problem whilst trying to import https://hayefarm.co.uk/index.html

Alex M. https://hayefarm.co.uk - just try the root domain - no specific files or anything and if you still have an error - please provide a screenshot of the error - thanks!

Hello tried the root domain and this happened

Alex M. okay, as mentioned in that modal its likely something to do with your host blocking crawlers/bots - since our import URL is a crawler, you'll have to add relume.io to a whitelist or temporarily disable firewall/bot blocking while you import the URL. Unfortunately, not much we can do on our end.
