Best Component Layouts for Photography Portfolios

Hi, Does anyone have recommendations on the best component layouts to use for photography portfolios? I am thinking maybe using an image gallery and each image is clickable to a separate portfolio page. Some pages/ portfolio galleries will need to be password protected.
