I keep getting this error in the Update Spacing Strategy prefrence in the Relume plugin inside webflow. I've refreshed but it still persists. Any idea whats going on? I keep getting the dreaded duplicate class yellow box error and wondering if this is whats throwing it off.
Quinn B. apologies for the issues here - Webflow broke this for us awhile back and unfortunately its not a straight forward, easy fix. Its something we can look at in the future but I don’t have a timeline at the moment. Best to stick to wrapper spacing when possible as I believe that is our default. I also think you can change what the spacing strategy is before exporting or copying via the preferences within the library and site builder.
Gotcha. Thanks for the response on this. I'm just still running into the dreaded yellow duplicate class box and I'm just trying to figure out what's going on inside my site.
I mean it could be a mix match of the spacing strategy - your project versus what you are copying/pasting from the library. I would make sure your preferences match the style guide and that you are using the same spacing strategy across the board. The update spacing strategy helper tool is for if you wanted to convert a whole project from one strategy to another. But since its not working, best to just match whatever the spacing strategy already exists in the project. The bug related to the update spacing strategy tool is unrelated to the duplicate classes issue. I do know that there is something going on - it happens to me on occasion - usually with the buttons - but since there are usually only 1 or 2 buttons in a component, I just clean them up as I go. Hoping we can take a look at this as soon as we can - I do have some commitment from the engineering team to circle back to the Site Builder on a short list of high priority bugs once we release Publish - and class duplication is on that list - but no guarantees we can even fix it as most of the time its incredibly difficult to even troubleshoot/reproduce/pinpoint. At the end of the day Quinn - I feel your pain, I hear you, I really do. I’ve got your back and I’m voicing this pain internally at all of the appropriate times I can. I promise, we’ll take a look soon. If you want to continue this convo and see what we can dig up, I’m happy to try to help troubleshoot or provide workarounds - it can be time consuming for us both, but if its something you want to do, just let me know and I’m happy to do that.
Gotcha.. thanks Matt.
