Relume Publish and Export Update: Ongoing Support, Future Compatibility, and Vision for Growth
@channel thanks for all your feedback. Honestly. it makes me so happy to hear all your passion and support for us. I know that the feedback is all coming from the right place. Few things to address.
- 1.
We're not stopping maintenance of Relume Export and MCP Library. We're going to continue to invest time to keep this up to date
- 2.
Currently Relume Publish isn't compatible with Relume Export. However, we're exploring some ways to make this possible 🙂 So yes, there could be a world where you can create designs in our Relume Publish and then take it to Relume Export. This is the most important part for our existing Lumers!
Now for the vision of Publish
- 1.
This is just our first version. When it comes to building out more components, we're going to take this to a whole new level. We're aiming to ship new updates to the component system, weekly!
- a.
This will address all your concerns that the designs will all look the same. You won't recognise Relume one month from now.
- 3.
Now why do we think publish is necessary for this?
- a.
This will enable us to get actual data on which components are converting and which ones we need to be added. And then, once we improve, everyone in this system will get the updates. This, in my opinion is what will enable us to build the best component system on the planet. And we can only do that with your help

Publishing a website is genuinely the first step. We're going to invest into more features post-publish that enable your websites to grow. To date, hosting was such a commodity and I want to change that. These only v1, but we're going to double down on agents to enable you run SEO and AEO strategies, building campaign pages which update based off real traffic and clicks. All of this is only possible when you publish on a system
Look, I fully understand where you're all coming from. I build an agency myself, and these changes can sometimes not be ideal. But I know, if you back us (like you all did before) we're going to make this thing 10x better then any other platform on the planet. And I will make sure the team listens to all your feedback to make this happen. Secondly, we have no control on what Webflow plans to do next. Which not only impacts us, but you as well. We've got no idea what they'll keep/remove. So, we've had to make sure that in order to serve this community and to continue to thrive, we had to hedge our bets. In the meantime, we're going to explore enabling the compatibility between Export <> Publish possible. Please keep the honest feedback coming through, so we can stronger as a community 🙂
