Hey Relume community! 👋
I believe there’s a wealth of expertise here when it comes to launching startups, so I’d love to tap into your insights.
I’m currently working solo on a startup idea and want to make sure I’m prioritizing the right steps to save time and accelerate my progress.
I have two key questions:
yeah I would say build and launch something of value as soon as possible and listen to your users - ask questions, and iterate. I think you'll need to prove the market fit before you could even pitch for an incubation - you have to prove that people "want" or even "need" what it is that you are building before investors will consider adding fuel to the fire. Which is essentially what investors want to do - they want their money to be fuel to an already started fire - they dont want their money to be the reason the fire was started. So you need a loyal and enthusiastic user base before investments will come in.
Sites like Product Hunt likely have guides on how to get in front of investors. These days its not too hard, but actually closing them can be very difficult.
If you already have 200-300 or 1,000 users paying for your product though, and its consistently growing, it makes it a lot easier. And the only way that is going to happen is to be obsessed with the product and the experience and providing the most value possible.
