Webflow Workflows: Streamlining Your Design Process

At a glance

The community member is starting a new Webflow build and has a Relume wireframe ready to be copied into Webflow. They are curious to hear about other community members' workflows - whether they copy one wireframe page at a time and style as they go, or copy in all the pages and style after everything is in place. The community member also mentions that they often go straight from Relume to Webflow and bypass Figma, depending on the size and requirements of the project. Additionally, they ask if community members rename their Relume class names or leave them as-is.

In the comments, another community member, Evan Bivins, recommends importing all the pages at once before making any edits. They mention that this usually results in a higher chance that the Webflow app imports all the pages. If the Webflow app is used for this, the classes get renamed based on their pages. Otherwise, the Finsweet Chrome extension "Folders" feature can be used to rename classes. Evan Bivins always renames classes.

Hey Lumers! Long time lurker here. I’m starting a new Webflow build and I have my Relume wireframe all dialed in and ready to be copied into WF. Curious to hear what your workflows are.

Do you copy one wireframe page in at a time and style as you go? Or do you copy in all the pages and style after everything is in place? (Spoiler, depending on the size / requirements of the project I often go straight from Relume to WF and bypass Figma)

Also, do you rename your Relume class names (i.e. features_section340 to features_section) or leave them as-is?

@Evan Bivins I would import them all at once before making any edits at all - this usually results in a higher chance that the webflow app imports all the pages in.

If you use the webflow app to do this, then the classes get renamed based on their pages. Otherwise, you can use the Finsweet chrome extension "Folders" feature to rename classes as well. I always rename classes.
