Utilizing Header 83 and Losing Sticky Factor on Publishing

At a glance

A community member is having issues with a header 83 on their website. While it works in the preview, the sticky functionality is lost when published. The community members discuss potential causes, such as widgets affecting the layout, custom code, and missing global styles. Eventually, the issue is resolved by removing a custom luxy.js smooth scroll script that was causing the problem.

Hello everyone! Has anybody had any issues utilizing header 83? I am currently trying to put it into my site and while it appears to work in Preview, it suddenly loses the sticky factor once publishing. Here is a video of it to see what I mean. Additionally, here is the read-only link...please ignore the unfinishedness of it, as it is not quite done yet lol: https://preview.webflow.com/preview/dotmaker?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_source=design[…]r&preview=87fc0f3b00961f297521bef754f116b5&workflow=preview

my guess is that those widgets that appeared on the published site are affecting something. Likely adding some sort of overflow: hidden; or something like that. I would try just removing those real quick to test this theory and we'll go from there.

Mind sending the published URL (DM is fine if necessary).

(Of note, I am using Microsoft edge if that may have anything to do with it)
And as far as I can tell, there is no overflow:hidden enabled

there is something strange going on at the bottom of your document - I'm guessing its some custom code. I can't see any of the custom code that you have on the site as they are in the site settings. But I would double check the custom code.

For example, I see two end body and html tags.

I also noticed you dont have the global styles component on your homepage (or any pages besides the style guide page)

🤦 it was the custom code, I had a luxy.js smooth scroll. Thank you for the help!
