Issue with Component Layout 494: Image Size Shrinking in Tabs

Avatar of Chris W.Chris W.

I’m having an issue with component Layout 494. When I add photos to the tabs, the images shrink to a small size. I’m unsure what I’m doing wrong. Please assist. It’s the 6th section down, with the heading: Don’t Let Rising Energy Bills Take Control of Your Future https://preview.webflow.com/preview/sunsavers-energy?utm_medium=preview_link&utm_sourc[…]23fa636357&pageId=66f5597e2b95dc2f2c76c17f&workflow=preview

Chris W. play around with these settings - its hard to troubleshoot because I'm guessing it only happens on publish?

Matt J. I did go ahead and make them HiDPI…It’s strange, they’ll show up large for a moment, like in the photo here, but then they’ll revert to the smaller size..Well, now they seem to be retaining their size in the designer, but when I publish they shrink. https://sunsavers-energy.webflow.io/home-copy

yeah, I think you'll want the other checkbox - disable responsiveness - or to make the image closer to the size it will be in that area. Right now its 1200 pixels. I'd have to play around with what looks good and weight it out against the end result. Disable responsiveness sounds scarier than it actually is - Webflow is generating new images based on the device and based on the actual calculated area - similar to shopify where you upload a single image, and it produces a full set of images of varying sizes.

if you do all of the upfront optimizations though, disabling the responsive images, you'd likely not see much, if any difference at all
