Unexpected element renaming when copying pages from wireframe to webflow

At a glance

Guys,

For some reason, regardless of having my class sync enabled, extension updated and classes cleaned up, when I copy/paste a page from wireframe to webflow I get some element renamed to "[element] 2" to "avoid conflicts"

Is anybody else also facing this issue?

Sometimes it is the button, sometimes it is padding global.

This just happened with a fresh clone for example

Same problem, see my post above -- pretty frustrating. has the same problem too.

Yes, I am running into the same. I am new to the library and are using the latest 1.5 - not sure if this was a previous issue

Hi Diego, Ishan & Jason - I'm sorry about the class duplication issue.

Could you please share the name of the class that is duplicating for you, or a link to your Relume blocks project?

We are investigating this.

Hey , no worries just thought I should report!

I’ve had this happen with “button” “padding-section-[size]” and “padding-global”

Thanks for reaching out -- not a huge deal at all but kind my arrow problem is one of those things that you'd go "really?" to 😆

Renamed "button" class to "button 2" in order to avoid conflicts.

For me it is primarily (and consistently) button as described by

I have tried modifying preferences between the new 2.1 and 1.5 library while ensuring the class sync is on to no avail. I can say that it is not clear or consistent like I first reported. Many times but not always it is button, but could be text-color-white or anything really

Not sure if this is everyone else's issue - but it is resolved for me by using the following clonable - https://webflow.com/made-in-webflow/website/relume-library-styleguide

When initially searching for the Style guide clonable, I found multiple others and upon trying those is when I encountered the renaming issue. Not sure this is the root of my problem, but since using this version I have created multiple pages and copied multiple components without any issues - good luck!!

Thanks for the help!

We tracked this down internally. We believe the issue was caused by the premature release of the v2.1 style guide (variables version). If older (non-variables) components were pasted into a site using the variables style guide, class sync was not working correctly.

Yesterday, we updated all components in relume library to use variables!

So class sync is now expected to work correctly.

If you are still running into issues, please DM me which component you were pasting and a preview link to the webflow site you were pasting it into. Thanks for your patience again.

Thanks for the update Sam!
