Markus K. did you start the project using the latest Relume webflow style guide?

It is my existing Website, I did not update anything since round about 4 months.

Do I need to update the style guide?

you likely wouldn't be able to update anything with this as this style guide is before variables and the components you are importing have variables - thus missing variables. Where are you copying your components from? Relume.io/components or somewhere else?

Webflow doesn't allow us to retroactively connect variables - each variable has a unique ID that is hidden - so even if you added variables with the same name, it doesn't work properly.

Okay, so you can prevent any further issues by setting a preference within the library and your chrome extension. These preferences do not apply to the webflow app or from copying/pasting from the site builder. https://www.relume.io/resources/docs/updating-existing-projects#changing-preferences-in-the-relume-webflow-library Secondly, you can just detach the variable, and select a new variable that exists in your project or choose a color style. Starting over shouldn't be necessary.

confirm your style guider version by visiting the style page within your webflow project and you should hopefully see it top left corner.

Markus K. Would you mind sending a read-only link?

if I'm understanding the situation correctly, you need to reset the variable to change the color. If you are using the webflow app - we resolved a bug recently with this. But if you are still trying to import into an existing project with an older style guide, and you've set your preferences correctly - please provide screenshots for verification of your preferences or a quick screen recording with no sound and we'll look into it.

Same issue. Using a FRESH build, latest Relume Style Guide. I think I copied a Navbar from the Relume Library and then suddenly it all went haywire. I cannot undo any of this. You can't click anything. You can't reset anything. The only recourse is to completely start the project over from scratch for the second time because of this same Unknown variable issue. It's like a landmine depending on which component you paste into your project.

Rafael C. we believe to have fixed this issue if it was caused in the same way that Nick is describing. But if you made any changes to the style guide (deleted/renamed variables for example) or if you have an older style guide version, the resource doc I shared above will be a better resource to resolving your issue. Please reach out though if you are still continuing to have these issues has they are extremely complicated and may not all be related.

Where do I find the most recent version of the style guide? Running into the same issue, although it's not that bad
