Troubleshooting a Pre-Loader Issue on Chrome and iOS Browsers

At a glance

A community member added a pre-loader to their page, but it's buggy on Chrome and some iOS browsers, showing the page for a split-second before the pre-loader starts. They tried adding a pre-loader delay to the main container, but it only shows the delay after the pre-loader finishes, so the split-second page showing persists. Another community member suggested implementing a bit of CSS that was included in the instructions, which resolved the issue. The community member confirmed that after creating a blank page, adding the same pre-loader, and finding the CSS, everything now works fine.

Useful resources

Hi everyone 🙂 I added a Pre-Loader to my page, but it’s a little buggy on chrome and some iOS browser. It shows the page a splitsecond before the pre-loader starts. So I tried to add a pre-loader delay to my main container. But all it does is show the delay only AFTER the pre-loader finished. So the problem with the split-second showing of the page persists. Any ideas?

did you happen to implement that little bit of CSS we included in the instructions, if yes - I can take a look further.

Hi thank you for pointing that out! The instructions weren’t visible when adding the pre-loader to an already populated page.

I created a blank page, added the same pre-loader and then I found the bit of CSS you mentioned! Everything works fine now! 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me so fast!
