The relume style guide interface should use constant and deliberate color choices

At a glance

The community member is discussing an issue with the Relume style guide, where the rl-styleguide_subheading container uses variables for color choices. The community member believes that the Relume style guide interface should have constant and deliberate color choices, and leave variables for user elements. The reason is that when the community member changed their secondary variable color to black, all the sections in the style guide became black, making the text unreadable. The community member suggests that the Relume style guide interface should be "locked" in terms of color, not dependent on variable color changes.

One kind of big issue with the style guide. The rl-styleguide_subheading container uses variables, and I really think it shouldn't. I believe Relume should just style the Style Guide interface containers and text with constant and deliberate color choices, and leave variables for the user elements. The reason is that I changed my secondary variable color to black, and now all of those sections are black in the style guide, and I can't read the text since my text is styled black! The Relume style guide interface should really be "locked" in terms of color, not at the mercy of our variable color changes. Although seductive to place them everywhere, some things just shouldn't use variables, heh!
