The Optimal Time to Transition a Project from Sketch to Figma

At a glance

The community member has a question about when to move a project to Figma. They ask if it's prudent to do so only when the design is almost complete, since changes don't automatically sync between the two sites. They also inquire about what happens if they downgrade their Figma plan to the free version after importing their design - will they still be able to edit it using the plugin?

Another community member responds that exporting to Figma only after the structure/wireframes are complete is a good plan, as there is no automatic sync. They also confirm that the Figma file will continue to work regardless of the user's Relume subscription plan.

A question related to the above issue: At what point would you suggest moving the relume project to Figma? Is it prudent only when the design is almost complete, seeing as the changes don't automatically sync between the two sites? Also, if I've already imported my design to Figma, what happens when I downgrade my plan to the free version? Will I still be able to edit it in Figma using the plugin? Thanks again!

That's correct Margarethe - there's no automatic sync with figma. Exporting to figma only after the structure / wireframes are complete is a good plan.

Your Figma file will continue to work regardless of your relume subscription.

I hope that answers your questions; let me know if I've missed anything πŸ™‚
