the advantages of starting with the relume library, instead of the webflow template

At a glance

The community member has convinced their team to migrate to Webflow and is seeking help to get the advantages of starting with the Relume Library instead of a Webflow template. They mention that some templates have built-in CMS collections, a style guide, and interactions that could be time-saving for a beginner.

In the comments, another community member wonders why the Relume team doesn't create a starter template with CMS, Commerce, and interactions. Another community member suggests that Relume works best for agencies that create many websites.

A Relume representative congratulates the community member on the Webflow migration and provides some helpful suggestions, including starting with the "Getting Started with Relume" video, using the Figma kit and Webflow Relume Style Guide, and reading about the Client-First approach, though they advise not to bother with the latter and just start building first.

The community member thanks the Relume representative, indicating the information was very helpful.

Useful resources

Hello hello! Finally, I was able to convince my team to migrate to Webflow! Who could help me to get the advantages of starting with the Relume Library, instead of the Webflow template? Some templates contain built in CMS collections for pages like blog, integrations, etc., also a style guide which will help to streamline the styles update, plus some interaction which might be helpful on not but still may be some time saving for a beginner there.

I was wondering why wonโ€™t Relume team create such a starter starter template or a few with CMS, Commerce and interactions ๐Ÿ˜

Please improve me if I am wrong, but it looks like relume works best for the agencies, when you create lots of websites

congratulations on convincing your team to switch to Webflow! Now the real fun begins huh?!?

We have several videos that you could start with. We're working on more. I really like your idea of having some pre-built templates to help get you up to speed even faster.

Start with the "Getting started with Relume" video that we have. You'll also want to start with both the Figma kit - duplicate it for your project and customize the style guide. And start with the webflow Relume Style Guide and clone that for your project as well. To understand how these components are built, you'll eventually want to read up on Client-First - but I wouldn't bother with this. Just start building first. I hope that helps a little!
