Sign Up Section 8 Google OAuth Options

Figured it out - again the classes being changed when being pasted 😞

Changing button to button18 etc despite having the class sync on

okay that means that you have a duplicate class. The only way to stop that from happening is to rid your project of any duplications. Class sync won't prevent a class from duplicating, once it has already started.
