Setting Up A Newsletter Signup Form In Webflow

Hey team,

I'm having some trouble trying to set up a newsletter signup form and was hoping someone could lend a hand. I’ve attached some screenshots for reference.

Here's the situation:

  • Relume Component: Footer 1
  • Email Marketing Provider: Mailchimp
  • Integration Method: Connecting to Mailchimp’s API using Webflow logic

I've linked the form to the right logic flow and tested it successfully in the flow builder.
But I’m having two issues with the live site:
  • Subscribe Button: Clicking it does nothing as I’m unsure what action to assign to it
  • Submission Issue: If I hit "enter" after entering an email address, I get the "success" message, but it just sends a regular form submission email through Webflow, even though I have linked the flow to the form.

It's my first time using a newsletter signup form in Webflow and I'm a bit lost. Any help or ideas on what's causing this would be great.

So it turns out that the button needs to be a form button in order for it to work. Not sure if this was a mistake or if all these newsletter components have the wrong button in them?

dang, that is wild Sam. Very sorry for the troubles here. I've submitted a bug ticket on this to the component team. How ironic is this that we were talking about the semantics of a button and here we have the wrong type of button (still not semantically correct I might add) messing things up...gosh.
