Hey,
After designing the sitemap in Relume, I am now enhancing in Figma. I used to be able to drag or copy and paste images, text, and so forth into each section of the sitemap. I'm not sure what changed but now when pasted or moved to the sitemap, that image automatically goes to the top or bottom of each section, separating the sections with the image to the left, and will not let me place it in the appropriate place in the section. Please let me know to get this ability back.
Thank you
I would read up on Figma auto layout.
We're using auto layout all throughout our components in Figma to allow for changing conditions.
In the case of your video, the reason you are able to move some of those elements over the top of the component versus others is because of where they are listed in your layers panel on the left.
In order to add things to a component, you'll need to detach the component - so if you right click on the section, detach instance (or cmd + shift + b) - you'll then be able to put additional elements into a component.
In your specific use case though, you'll likely want to position absolute these elements, so if you click on the element you want to position, and go to the top right you'll see this icon (screenshot) - if you click this, it'll let you drag this around without it being apart of the auto layout. It'll be a little finicky but eventually you'll get the hang of it.
I have an easier idea though!
you can use absolute positioning, simply after putting your element inside the auto layout it will make the same thing as it shows in your video.
what you have to do now is to keep everything as it is then go to the right panel and press on the absolute position icon, then you will be able to move your icon into the place you want to position it.
you have to consider that you should test your layout again to make sure that everything is responsible and works without any problem
