Resolving SSL Errors: A Consistent Challenge

At a glance

A community member is experiencing inconsistent SSL errors on their website, where users are reporting the site being blocked or encountering errors. The community member has contacted Webflow customer support, but they are also stumped. The domain is registered with GoDaddy, and the community member has provided Webflow with screenshots of the GoDaddy DNS records, which Webflow has confirmed are correct. The community members are working together to try to resolve the issue, with one community member suggesting the community member send full screenshots of the records in a direct message.

hi all - has anyone ever run into and resolved an SSL error? users are constantly reporting our site being blocked/running into errors.

I’m in touch with webflow customer support, but even they are stumped, as I do have the webflow SSL checked and our DNS records seem fine. It’s very inconsistent when it’s blocked, and when it is not - it’s very frustrating.

where was the domain registered?

domain is registered at godaddy

Oh wow okay. And are the nameservers pointed to godaddy as well?

are you referring to the A records and CNAME records?

Well no but another way to find out - you added those records in Godaddy, correct?

Do you have any other records besides the webflow ones?

yes 😭 and i sent screenshots of all the godaddy records to webflow, and they said it all looks correct!

these are all the records (without exploiting the data)

okay, if you feel comfortable and want to send full screenshots in DM. It's fine if not. How long ago were these DNS changes initially made?

Ok I’ll DM you! I appreciate your help
