Resizing the slider

At a glance

The community members are discussing how to resize a slider on a website. One community member suggests setting a fixed height, but another notes that this only works for the native slider. They recommend using other slider libraries like SplideJS or SwiperJS, which allow for dynamic width and height. The community members discuss the potential downsides of using these libraries, such as slower page load times, but conclude that the extra complexity is the main drawback. Overall, the community members provide suggestions for resizing the slider, but there is no explicitly marked answer.

I just put a set height to it. Is that the only way?

with the native slider yeah - with other sliders you can have dynamic width/heights. SplideJS, SwiperJS

I will look into that. thank you

Are there any down sides to using Splide or Swiper?
Can they cause the page to load slower? Or break more easily?

I suppose anytime you add any additional scripts it could make the site load slower sure, but other than that - nope - just the extra layer of complexity is the only major downside really.

great. I will look at it tomorrow. thanks!
